I'd love to visit somewhere truly tropical, even though I seem to have a natural aversion to warm weather. Fiji is the top of list with this one. Any Fiji island would do, to be honest ;) If I had a disposable income, I'd have a private beach and a cute waiter serving me cocktails while I lounged about reading in the sun all day. I'd even try my hand at diving, too! Dreaming, again...
Quite a few members of my family live in Australia. They visit every few years or so with photographs and stories about how their nearest neighbours are miles away. I'd love to visit during Australia's Summer and use it as an excuse to avoid the cold months over here in the UK.
Chicago would be the one city that I'd love to visit in the States. I'm not a sports fan, but I'd probably go and watch a sporting game of some sort, wearing a baseball cap and eating a hotdog! Chicago has plenty of hotels to choose from, all in close proximity to the places I'd actually want to see (the millenium park, the art institute and the Magnifecent Mile) I love hiking, so the Chicago lakefront trail would be something that I'd hate to miss. To be honest with you, I'm thinking Chicago is probably one of the more realistic places for me to go and visit but I somehow don't think that I'd manage to fit everything that I'd want to get done into a single trip.
How could I write a post like this without mentioning Paris? I've been warned that it isn't as romantic as the movies make out but still definitely worth visiting. I'd love to see the Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe... Disneyland! I'd be able to go over on the train instead of flying, too. If you have any suggestions for Paris (places to stay, where to eat, little hidden treasures, the best time of the year to visit) then please leave me a comment and let me know! x
